GROUNDED NEUTRAL: The common neutral conductor in a wye connected electrical system, which is intentionally connected to ground at the main entrance, and nowhere else in the system, to provide a current return path for line to neutral connected loads. It is also connected at the main entrance to the equipment grounding conductor. (see: Ground; Wye Connection; Main Entrance; Equipment Grounding Conductor.)
