Glossary Of Terms

ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC)

A current that flows back and forth between the source and load. The amplitude of the current varies from zero, through a positive peak, back through zero, through a negative peak, and back to zero. This occurs a specified number of times per second. (see Frequency) and often the current appears to be sinusoidal. (see Sine Wave)
