A Business in High Tech Harmony: US Chamber of Commerce Article Features Harmonics Limited
The US Chamber of Commerce recently published an interview with CEO Don Moore, for its Success Insight: A Chamber Member’s Story series. The article focuses on the company’s rebranding and re-launch, with emphasis on the green energy savings benefits of HL’s Harmonics Suppression Systems (HSS).
Mr. Moore, a Managing Director for HT Capital Advisors, a New York based Investment Banking Firm, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Harmonics Limited Inc, an HTC portfolio company.
Harmonics Limited is a high technology manufacturer of patented, energy saving, power quality equipment used in power distribution systems of a broad range of commercial, financial, educational, media and medical facilities throughout the US. The Company’s unique Harmonic Suppression System is the leading energy saving technology deployed by numerous Fortune 500 Companies in their Green Building and Sustainability programs nationwide.
Prior to joining HT Capital Advisors, Mr. Moore was President and Chief Executive Officer of Precision Optical Systems Inc. (POS), a company formed when Mr. Moore and HT Capital purchased the Commercial Optics Division of the Polaroid Corporation in 2003. As CEO, he conceived and implemented the strategy of commercializing the company’s optical technology and manufacturing capability into the high volume camera phone and medical instrumentation markets. In 2004, Mr. Moore and HT Capital successfully divested POS to a public strategic industry acquirer. Mr. Moore has also served as CEO of Component Intertechnologies, San Diego, CA; a former division of GTI Corporation (NASDAQ) and as Director and Board Member for Glopex, Inc. of Fremont, CA, an e-commerce software provider.
Mr. Moore holds a B.S. from the Stevens Institute of Technology, an M.S. from Northwestern University, an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of New Haven.
